BAXTER STRENGTH SYSTEMS

ORIGIN STORY

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has got us all addicted to back stories and hero journeys. I’m no hero, but I do have an inspirational back story.

Red dirt training in the Pilbara

Introduce the story.

I didn’t set out to build a business. I liked lifting weights and helping people. Generation one were quirky high school kids, maverick teachers and misfit gym goers. From day one, it has always been about having fun with friends lifting weights, and creating an environment where everyone gets stronger together.

An extremely specifc niche

The story of how helping my friends drove me to develop a business. Testing Z-Health drills led me to a significant discovery. I stumbled upon an incredible benefit of enhanced proprioception - improved mood.

Strength for everybody

Taking on the powerlifting world drove me to find unique solutions that isolation and geography imposed. Kettlebell classes and workshops, teaching barbell and movement training to kids at the gym.

The mission was clear - everybody seems to live slightly better when they are stronger physically. This seems to connect

Brains, injuries and neuroscience

Z-Health and applying neuroscience research. The ability to help people exploded. Developed a reputation as a wizard. Created Strong IS Fun as a means of teaching neuroscience concepts using powerlifting.

Expanding the client list as I grew stronger

I never stopped training the people I started with. As I grew as a coach, so did my athletes. Their achievements climbed higher, and I began to work with athletes at the very top of their fields. World champions, Olympians and professionals using the same tools as office-athletes, student-athletes and patients recovering from injury and trauma.

It was cool to train not only all ages, but all abilities too.
