The Baxter Strength podcast
The Baxter Strength Podcast is a place for real conversations about strength, performance, and what it means to keep showing up when the work is hard and the outcomes are uncertain.
Some episodes are practical. Some are reflective. Many sit somewhere in between. We discuss training, neuroscience, flow, coaching, recovery, identity, and the messy, human parts of doing something meaningful over time.
This isn’t a podcast about shortcuts, hype, or rigid systems. It’s about curiosity, effort, and learning how people actually grow. Strength shows up here often, but always as a lens — a way of understanding ourselves, our bodies, and the environments we’re trying to build around our lives and our work.
I’m especially interested in stories.
If you’re someone who has learned something the long way, changed your mind through experience, rebuilt after disruption, or simply spent time paying attention to what actually helps people move forward, there’s space for that here.
You don’t need a big following. You don’t need a polished message. You just need a story you’re willing to tell and the patience to explore it honestly.
The aim is simple: to make room for conversations that feel useful, grounding, and human — and to leave listeners a little clearer, a little steadier, and a little more at home in the work they’re doing.
If that sounds like you, or if someone comes to mind as you’re reading this, I’d love to hear from you.
What to Expect as a Guest
If you come on the Baxter Strength Podcast, you won’t be asked to perform or promote anything.
These are slow, thoughtful conversations. We take our time. I’m interested in how your thinking has changed, what experience has taught you, and what you’ve learned by staying with something long enough for it to matter.
You don’t need prepared answers. You don’t need a polished story. Curiosity and honesty are enough.
Most episodes are recorded remotely, usually run for around an hour, and are lightly edited for clarity. I’ll share the broad direction of the conversation ahead of time so you know what to expect, and you’re always welcome to steer things where they feel most useful or true for you.
This is a conversation, not an interview.
Who This Podcast Is For
This podcast resonates with people who care deeply about their work, craft, or community — especially when the path hasn’t been straightforward.
If you’re interested in strength, performance, neuroscience, coaching, recovery, or flow, you’ll likely find familiar ground here. If you’re more interested in identity, effort, learning, and what it takes to keep going when certainty is in short supply, you’re equally welcome.
Many listeners are coaches, athletes, practitioners, or leaders. Many aren’t. What they tend to share is a respect for thoughtful work and an appreciation for conversations that don’t rush to conclusions.
An Invitation
If you feel a quiet sense of recognition reading this — or if someone comes to mind who you think would add something meaningful — I’d love to hear from you.
